Original Site
The building, erected around 1911, was once a small confectionery store. The market expanded and they began selling food and drinks to hungry people. As time went by a caf� was established for the citizens of Brandon. The well-known Princess Cafe stood for many years as a recommended place to eat from the 40’s until the 90’s.

Our Chef
The Owner/Operator has been cooking in the Culinary Arts field since 1996. He is a graduate of the ACC Professional Cooking Course (1999) and obtained a Red Seal for the Trade of Cook in 2002. Derek was honoured to receive several business awards like:
-Assiniboine Community College’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011.
-Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Brandon Chamber of Commerce in 2011.
-In 2014 Apprenticeship award of distinction, for Employer of the year – rural.

Our Team
Komfort Kitchen takes pride in a passion for cooking. They employ both full and part time chefs, many of whom are qualified with a Red Seal. They provide apprenticing for Culinary Arts graduates of Assiniboine Community College, thus giving chefs an opportunity to obtain a Red Seal. Komfort Kitchen staff is also made up of several experienced and personable service staff. As the KK is proud of their high standard of cleanliness, there are also several dishwashers as well as a staff person devoted to deep cleaning.
These credentials teamed with a love for great food is the recipe for their success. Professionally prepared food is created from scratch and brought to your table hot, fresh and just how you ordered it.
